Penn/Ivy League Tourney History
I heard the CBS guys say Penn has lost 8 straight NCAA Tourney games. There was time througout the 1990s when the Ivy League representative was a very sexy upset pick.
Ever since the 1989 tournament when Princeton as the 16 seed in the East led by 8 at halftime and lost to top-seeded Georgetown 50-49.
In those days ESPN still broadcast the first round action and I can remember at halftime they threw it back to the ESPN studios where John Saunders and Dick Vitale sat speechless for about 10 seconds.
